Today A weak disturbance is moving through the region, bringing some mid and high clouds along with slightly breezier conditions this afternoon. Thunderstorms are not expected, but the combination of dry fuels, low humidity, and increasing winds could lead to more active fire behavior. Friday High pressure builds in behind today's system, resulting in mostly dry conditions and lighter winds. Afternoon humidity levels will drop into the 15 to 22 percent range.

A warm Thursday ahead with air quality issues in Oregon and possible fire danger on Saturday

Tri-Cities, Wash. — A dry and warm Thursday ahead, with the main headline being serious air quality issues in northeast Oregon, especially around La Grande, due to the Hagen fire. Smoke and haze will make their way to parts of central and southeast Washington towards the end of the week, but conditions won't be nearly as bad as they are in Oregon. Additionally, a 5% for dry thunderstorms in central Oregon. Temperatures will warm until Friday evening, cool off for the weekend, and rise again past the mid-90s by the end of next week. Fire Weather Watch for Saturday, due to gust speeds reaching 30-35 MPH.
