Auction underway after Red Lobster closes 4 WNY locations
BUFFALO, N.Y. — With rumors of the restaurant on the brink of bankruptcy, Red Lobster posted on their website that four locations in Western New York are temporarily closed. The seafood chain is reportedly looking to sell its restaurants in an effort to avoid filing bankruptcy, according to CNBC.
Mayville Depot Museum:
Saturday May 25, The Chautauqua Town Historical Society is hosting an open house from 1pm- 5pm, at the Mayville Depot Museum, 16 Water Street, Mayville Lakeside Park. The museum is open 1-5pm Friday-Sunday, during the summer season: Memorial Day to Labor Day weekends. While admission is free, modest donations are appreciated.
ArtScapes Jamestown Opens
The second annual ArtScapes public art exhibition has opened at Chautauqua Art Gallery in downtown Jamestown. A public reception will be held this Friday, May 17th from 5-7:30pm. The indoor exhibition, which features the original artwork selected for the show, precedes the outdoor exhibition. In June, a set of banners featuring the pieces will be hung throughout Jamestown, transforming downtown into an outdoor art gallery. Many of the pieces on display are for sale through the Chautauqua Art Gallery.

Lakewood Playhouse to Present THE NICETIES by Eleanor Burgess
Lakewood Playhouse has revealed the the final show in their 85th Season, The Niceties by Eleanor Burgess. The Niceties is being directed by Michelle Matlock making her Lakewood Playhouse directorial debut, and stars Laurie O'Brien and Danielle Shope both returning to the Playhouse after appearing in Love, Loss & What I Wore and Incorruptible respectively.
