Crews working to fix reopened sinkhole in Jefferson City
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. — Jefferson City crews are working to fix a sinkhole that reopened on Odell Avenue over the weekend. According to the Jefferson City Manager James Gallup, the sinkhole first opened on Tuesday, April 16 beside Maplecrest Square apartments, near Food City and Regions Bank. It was originally 20 to 25 feet deep, Gallup said.

8 staff members at Union County Schools lose jobs due to loss of federal emergency funding

CCSO: Double-homicide investigation underway after 2 missing men found dead in Claiborne Co.
CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Claiborne County Sheriff's Office said a double-homicide investigation was underway after two men were found dead at around 2 a.m. on Friday. The sheriff's office said they were both reported missing on Wednesday. It said they were found off Rock Creek Ridge Road in the Clairfield community. The sheriff's office said anyone with information about the men or the investigation should reach out at 423-626-3385.
