On the morning of Feb. 25, a Bradley student flagged down a BUPD officer patrolling campus. The student told the officer they had just come from Saddle Up Dance Club, where they were battered by a non-Bradley-affiliated individual. Around 3 a.m., the student and aggressor engaged in a consensual arm wrestling match, which the aggressor won. Subsequently, the student told the aggressor that “the only reason [they] won the match was because [they] went against three other [people] before.” The aggressor allegedly became enraged before grabbing the student by their shirt collar and thrusting their head against a pole in the bar. The officer located the aggressor parked in their vehicle near the St. James Apartment Complex; they were visiting friends who are Bradley students. Officers arrested the aggressor and charged them with battery. They were transported to the Peoria County Jail and released the following morning with a notice to appear in court.
