Dining Out: The 07 brings Keeping It Fresh vibe to Laurens Road area
What started as a shared dream has become one of Greenville’s most beloved neighborhood dining stories. Restaurateurs Anmar Natheer and Geno Iozzino met years ago while working at a casual fine-dining restaurant in Florida. They bonded quickly over their deep love of good food. “While Anmar is not a chef at any of our restaurants, he’s a phenomenal chef himself,” says Iozzino. “He’s so talented, and whenever we got together, it was always around something he made.” Even then, the idea of opening something together lingered in the background. The pair, with help from Iozzino’s uncle, built out a former bread truck and hit the streets. At the time, neither was ready to go all in. Both kept their day jobs, refining the concept on nights and weekends. Anmar was honing his skills at places like High Cotton, where he met chef Jenny Barone (now head chef at The 07 and The 05). Just a few years later, opportunity knocked. When The 05 became available in 2018, Natheer and Iozzino
