The Cheyenne Wells Tigers (6-5, #6) started slowly in the 2023 football season as they dealt with some early injuries and had to adjust numerous times with personnel and positions. But, finally, in the last few weeks they have been firing on all cylinders and on Saturday advanced to the quarterfinals round of the 6-Man State Football playoffs after defeating La Veta (6-5) in a big score of 64-18 at John Schoff Field in Cheyenne Wells in the first round.

Cheyenne Wells Trustees Present: Mayor Pro-tem Carleton Pelton, Zach Anderson, Karen Gregg, Sherry Jones, Mark Galli, and Rex Hyle.
