GDOT: Oglethorpe Bridge set for September completion after construction delay
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — The Oglethorpe Bridge completion date is now scheduled for Sept. 30, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation’s (GDOT) website. GDOT officials said the bridge construction was halted after an Atlanta company had to complete mussel sweeps earlier this year. Crews reportedly had to remove 2,384 mussels from the project limits.
