Jackson County Retired School Personnel Held May 3 Meeting
The Jackson County Retired School Personnel held their May 3 meeting in Bellevue. First a delicious lunch was at 11:30 at La Casa de Pancho. Thirteen members attended the meeting. The program was at the old Button Factory which is now the site of BIG, a very impressive program started at Bellevue High School. The juniors in high school told about their projects which they work on first period. The BIG facebook page says: “We believe real world learning opportunities build passionate and engaging experiences for students.”

Crawford County Sheriff’s Office arrests three people on drug related charges after traffic stop
According to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, May 7, at approximately 9:53 p.m., Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that a traffic stop on US Highway 61 in the Township of Marietta. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Geramia Swadley, 43, of Soldiers Grove, Wis. and his passengers as Jourdan Womack, 28, and Corben Eck, 21, of Platteville, Wis.
