Cape Aquatic Center to hold ribbon cutting
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will host a ribbon cutting next week for the Cape Aquatic Center. Held on Friday, May 10, the ribbon cutting takes place at the Aquatic Center at 4 p.m. The Cape Aquatic Center, formally called ‘Central Pool’, was first built in 1979 and opened to the public in March 1980.
Vienna High School to host presentation on Child Care Assistance Program
VIENNA, Ill. — Vienna High School will host a child care resource presentation from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, in the media center (enter door K) at Vienna High School. The program is open to anyone who needs, wants help paying for, or wants to provide child care. Child Care Resource & Referral will attend to provide information about resources available to help offset the costs of child care, including the Child Care Assistance Program, which can help get child care paid for, cover the cost of using a child care center, or help an individual get paid to provide it. CCR&R can help with completing any necessary forms or applications.
13th annual Poker Run to be held in Cape Girardeau in June
