South Anchorage claims state title despite coach, multiple players suspended
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - One year after falling to Colony High School in the state title game, the South Anchorage Wolverines are back on top of Alaska boys soccer. The Wolverines punctuated their undefeated season on Saturday at Wasilla High School with a 2-0 victory over the Knights. South triumphed in the championship game despite playing shorthanded. The Alaska School Activities Association suspended South coach Brian Lux and several players due to behavior exhibited by Wolverine players in its previous match.
