On 02/19/2024 at 1:58 PM Officers responded to a report of a hit and run accident in the 300 block of West 6 Street. This incident is under investigation. On 02/17/2024 at 1:01 PM Officers arrested Kevin Zeiters of Concordia in the 1000 Block of Lincoln Street on a Salina City Warrant for Failure to Comply. Zeiters was transported to Cloud County Corrections.

Minneapolis Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Vacant Park Avenue Building
Minneapolis Police are currently piecing together the grim puzzle of a man's shooting death in a nondescript vacant building on Park Avenue. Late Friday evening, at around 10:20 PM, patrol officers from the First Precinct responded to a chilling call: a body, lifeless and marred by violence, discovered on the 1500 block of Park Ave, according to the Minneapolis Police Department.

Three Concordia High School Wrestlers Qualify for 2024 KSHSAA Class 4A State Wrestling Championships
There will be three Concordia High School Varsity Boys Wrestlers heading to the 2024 Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 4A State Championships this week. Junior Tracer Murdock placed 2nd overall at 190 lbs. in the 4A Regional Meet in Colby on Saturday, February 17th, qualifying for the state meet for the second straight season. Senior Caleb Hanson is also returning to the state tournament after placing 3rd overall at 170 lbs. Freshman Drake Blochlinger will make his first trip to the state tournament after he finished 4th overall at 150 lbs.
Cloud County Sets March 30th Deadline to Receive Applications for Wind Farm Funding
The Cloud County Commission has received its first application for Meridian Way Wind Farm dollars provided each year to Cloud County by EDP Renewables. During its regular meeting on Tuesday, February 20th, the Cloud County Commission reviewed an application submitted by Rick Simpson to support the annual 9/11 Tribute Heroes Weekend, scheduled for Friday, September 13th and Saturday, September 14th at the Cloud County Fairgrounds in Concordia. According to the application, the weekend is to honor military members, veterans and first responders and to educate the community on the sacrifices made by all following the shocking events of September 11, 2001 when nearly 3,000 people were killed in terrorist attacks on the United States.
