Iowa State football added another piece to its 2025 recruiting class with a commitment from 3-star edge Charlie Woleben on Sunday.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound edge out of De Soto High School (Kansas) is the No. 11 player in Kansas, No. 79 edge and a top-1,100 player nationwide, according to 247Sports Composite.

Woleben chose the Cyclones over offers from Lindenwood, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota State, UNI and Tulsa.

He recorded 43 tackles - including 11 solo takedowns, 7.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks - in his junior season, according to his Hudl profile. Woleben also blocked two punts and on point-after attempt.

Woleben is the sixth commit to Matt Campbell’s 2025 class, ranked No. 32 in the country. He joins quarterback Alex Manske, wide receiver Zay Robinson, offensive tackle Will Tompkins, and fellow edge players Jack Limbaugh and Trey Verdon.
