South32 announced this morning that it will construct a nine-acre complex in the city of Nogales to house the remote operations center for its Hermosa mining project. Formerly referred to as IROC (“integrated remote operations center”), the facility will now be called ‘Centro.’ Centro will be located off the I-19 near the Mariposa Industrial Park, with construction expected to begin by the end of the year.
