    Pedestrian, driver in fatal nighttime crash identified: Oklahoma Highway Patrol

    JACKSON CO. ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Both the driver and the pedestrian who was killed in an Altus, Okla., crash earlier this month have been identified.

    Colesta Loud, 62, of Lawton, was pronounced dead by staff at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital after suffering injuries from a collision on April 16, according to a trooper with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

    The crash was at approximately 10:24 p.m. in the 500 block of S Bar S Blvd.

    The driver, Ethan Howell, 21, of Snyder, Okla., was not injured, the OHP Trooper stated.

    Several agencies responded, including Altus Fire Department, Altus EMS, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Traffic Homicide Unit.

    The weather at the time of the crash was reportedly clear. The cause of the collision is under investigation, according to the trooper.
