Cape Cod bartender did not become Voice of Logan. Here's who won instead.
She didn't take home the title, but Kristin Ingala went the distance in the contest to find the next Voice of Boston Logan International Airport . Ingala, a South Dennis resident, competitive boxer, and popular bartender at the Chatham Squire, was one of eight finalists selected from nearly 6,000 entries in Massport's search for a new "Voice of Logan." The winner is Chris Donisi of Burlington , a man with a deep voice, born just outside the city in East Arlington. "I'm a home-grown Boston guy," Donisi is quoted as saying on the Voice of Logan website. He accepted the title with a mix of humility and hometown pride, saying, "I don’t think I honestly deserve anything but I just know this city and its roots and how the people move and flow around here." Donisi noted that people around him have always noticed his distinctive sound and told him to do voice work, "so when I seen this I said what a perfect opportunity to give it a shot and how perfect it would be in my hometown at Logan." Cape Cod's 'Bahston Bah Tenda' Ingala brought her own distinctive Boston sound to the competition. Her accent, which she
