Local school bus crash; 4 students on board

ALLIANCE , Ohio (WJW) — A Marlington Local Schools bus was rear-ended while on its elementary school route on Tuesday morning, according to school officials.

Four students were on the bus at the time, Superintendent Dan Swisher told FOX 8 News. The students were evaluated at the scene by EMS workers, as well as the driver and bus aide, he said.

The bus was on a route for Lexington Elementary , Swisher said. The district notified the students’ parents, then they were transported to the school by another bus, he said.

“The safety and well-being of our students is of the utmost importance. We would like to thank the Alliance Fire Department, Alliance Police Department and the Stark County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance,” Swisher wrote.
