Shots fired at vehicle Sunday morning in Des Moines
DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police are investigating a shooting that happened near a QuikTrip on the southside of the city. Just after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday morning near 849 Army Post Road with witnesses seeing a male shoot at a vehicle several times. After shooting at a vehicle the suspect took off northbound in his own vehicle.
2 killed in Southern Iowa crash
DECATUR COUNTY, Iowa — Two people were killed and two others were hurt after a crash in Southern Iowa Friday around 7:40 p.m. Iowa State Patrol investigators report Robin Reaves, of Urbandale, was going northbound on Lineville Road in Decatur County when they missed a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 2 and hit the side of a truck.

Motorcyclist sustains serious injuries in crash Saturday night
DES MOINES, Iowa — A motorcyclist is in the hospital with serious injuries after a crash Saturday night on the southside of Des Moines. Des Moines Police and Fire Departments responded to a crash on the intersection of SE 5th Street an E Park Avenue just after 9:30 p.m. Callers reported seeing a truck and a motorcycle collide, which left the motorcyclist with serious injuries. Police say the motorcyclist was transported to a hospital, but the individual is expected to survive.
