Man found shot outside Inova Alexandria Hospital dies; police investigating

ALEXANDRIA, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Police said it was investigating the death of a man whom someone found shot outside of Inova Alexandria Hospital early Wednesday morning.

The Alexandria Police Department (APD) officers went to the hospital, located at 4320 Seminary Rd., at around 3 a.m. after they received a report that a man was on the ground outside of an entrance there. The man had been shot. Hospital staff members tried to save him, but they weren’t able to do it.

APD said it was looking for a 2008 dark gray, 4-door Mercedes Benz C Class with the Virginia license plate: RX22K. Police said that car may be involved in the man’s death.
