Coal miner killed in incident at southern West Virginia mine site, governor says
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A coal miner was fatally injured at a mine site in southern West Virginia on Thursday, the state’s governor said. Virgil Paynter, of Lynco, W.Va., died after an incident Thursday morning at the CM Energy Operations LP Surface Mine in Wyoming County, according to a news release from the governor’s office.
