Flu season is slowly, very slowly, winding down in Erie County, but it could set yet another annual record before it's finished. About 28 flu cases a day were reported to the Erie County Department of Health for the week ending Feb. 23, the county's lowest seven-day daily average since early December. Local doctors confirmed that they are seeing fewer patients than earlier this winter.
