Names released in deadly Deuel County crash
DEUEL COUNTY — A 68-year-old Toronto woman died Feb. 14 in a two-vehicle crash in Deuel County. Nancy L. Meyer, the driver of a 2012 Chevrolet Impala, was traveling south on state Highway 15 when she lost control on icy roads and slid across the center line directly in front of a 2016 Peterbilt semi driven by Eddie E. Waldner, according to preliminary information from the South Dakota Highway Patrol.

Six Bulldogs, one alternate, and one Lady Bulldog grappled their way into South Dakota’s 2024 State Wrestling Individual Championships. The athletes qualified at the regional meet in Pierre on Saturday, February 17. Regional winners from their respective classes will compete against each other February 22-24 at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls. Madison Lets Lead Slip at Home; Falls to Milbank 65-58
The Madison Bulldogs couldn’t hang on to their lead at home and fall to the Milbank Bulldogs, 65-58. Madison fell to 8-11 overall after the loss. They maintained a lead for most of the game, but slowly let this slip later in the game when the offense began to slow. A strong effort early with a couple of double digit scoring quarters for a pair of Madison players. Which was the only real spark in the offense all night.
