Closer to metro Denver, several buildings were struck by lightning around 4 p.m. including one in Broomfield and one in Evergreen.

The system is expected to move east quickly and clear out of the state. The Pinpoint Weather Team says Friday will see slightly cooler temperatures with highs in the 60s around Denver . Scattered showers are expected before steady rain moves in at night and lasts until Sunday morning.
