SPOKANE - When every second counts, blood products can provide lifesaving care. The American Red Cross asks the public to give blood during Trauma Awareness Month in May to keep hospitals prepared for all transfusion needs, including emergencies. University High School students will be able to receive an AA degree through new program
SPOKANE, Wash. – Students at University High School will be able to pursue an AA degree starting their freshman year of high school. Eastern Washington University (EWU) and Spokane Community College (SCC) already allowed students to take classes through partnerships with the Central Valley School District (CVSD), but a new agreement between EWU, SCC and the school district will allow students to pursue an AA degree directly while in high school.

Spokane man aboard flight that emergency landed in remote Canada
SPOKANE, Wash. – A Spokane man was aboard an Air France flight from Paris to Seattle that required an emergency landing in northern Canada on Tuesday night. According to KIRO 7, the emergency landing was due to passengers reporting the smell of burning. The flight landed in the small town of Nunavut and spent several hours there before making it back to Seattle.
