AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – The Annual FOTAS Woofstock Festival & Doggie Derby Days event will take place Saturday, April 20, at Citizens Park.

Citizens Park is located at 651 Old Airport Road in Aiken.

There will be dog contests of all kinds throughout the day, culminating in the famous Doxie Derby, which features the fastest wiener dogs in the Aiken area.

General admission is free with a minimal charge for entering the contests and races. Attendees are encouraged to bring their canine family members (must be on a leash).

Scheduled to take place from 9:30 a.m. to noon, Woofstock 2024 will feature a variety of dog contests, including best trick, best kisser, best owner/pet look-alike and best costume.

There’s also going to be kids races, pet-related business vendors and exhibitors, balloon creations, face painting, great food, music and other fun activities for the whole family.

All proceeds from the Woofstock Festival go to benefit the homeless pets at the County Shelter.

Woofstock attendees will be able to adopt County Shelter dogs at the event.

The County Shelter is open for adoptions on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The child-size pedal Weinermobile featured at past Woofstock events is being raffled off this year.

Raffle tickets are available for purchase at Downtown Dog.
