Undefeated Alexandria City High School Girls Flag Football team dominates in inaugural season
In their first year on the field, the undefeated Alexandria City High School Girls Flag Football team is tearing it up. The Titans have shut out each of their last five opponents since the season started Sept. 30, allowing zero scores and accumulating 162 points scored. Many players on the team credit the wins to grueling workouts and hours of studying the game.

Despite weather delays, Patriot stays loose in crucial win over Osbourn
Just how unorthodox was the start of Friday's crucial Cedar Run District game in Manassas between Osbourn and Patriot? More than 90 minutes after its scheduled start time, only two plays had been run. Pioneers coach Sean Finnerty would love to be able to point to something he and his staff came up with to keep his players' minds sharp and legs fresh. Instead, they simply brought their own energy as they opened up a 21-0 first-half lead and held on for a 28-13 win over the Eagles to spoil Osbourn's homecoming and reshuffle the playoff landscape for Class 6, Region B. Patriot (4-3, 3-1 Cedar Run) was ranked 11th in this week's VHSL power ratings for the region while Osbourn (4-3, 1-2) was No. 8; ninth-ranked Gainesville lost at No. 3 Battlefield and No. 10 Colgan beat Hylton at home. The top eight teams advance to the postseason. Initially delayed by around half an hour, the game faced a second weather hold when lightning re-entered the area after the Pioneers had run all of two plays from scrimmage. "They did a great job of staying loose in the locker room and staying energized, so we didn't come out too

Robinson JV Football Team Hopes to Turn Season Around, But It May Be Too Late.
The JV football season is half over, and so far, it has been rough (to say the least). They started winless for several weeks, with three losses and one tie. One of the Rams’ lowest points was the September loss to rival Lake Braddock Bruins at home. The game began with Lake Braddock scoring a touchdown on the opening drive. After both teams exchanged a few punts, the Bruins got another score, a 35-yard rushing touchdown. When Robinson got the ball again, their drive consisted of a fumble that they were able to recover and a sack, which led to another punt. Though the defense was able to get the Bruins to go three-and-out, Robinson gave them the ball inside the 20 when their punter kicked the ball into the back of an offensive lineman. Two plays later, Braddock scored a passing touchdown, bringing the score to 21-0. Robinson then again gave Braddock the ball inside of the 20 when the running back fumbled. Following a field goal, the score was 24-0 at halftime.
