We are keeping a close watch on a severe weather threat for Acadiana later today. Through 3 p.m., we will mainly see passing showers and maybe a rumble of thunder. After 3 p.m. strong storms will develop and bring with them strong winds, hail, flooding, and possibly a few tornadoes. This threat will continue through 10 p.m. before storms come to an end.

Police said they responded to a shooting in the 800 block of South Flannery Road on Aug. 5, 2020. At the scene, officers found Loston Tiner Jr., 21, with multiple gunshot wounds.
