GRANTS -- Nancy’s Appliances on First Street was another casualty of the recent flood. The appliance store has reopened, but cleaning is still necessary to restore the store to its former condition. Grants Man Arrested for Fentanyl Possession
Grants, NM – Grants man Matthew Shawn Natan, 25, was arrested on June 5, 2024, at approximately 5:13 PM by Sergeant Anthony Kemp of the Grants Police Department on Mount Taylor Ave. The arrest was made following a report of suspicious behavior involving a male subject holding a brick, believed to be a potential threat to property.

GRANTS, NM – Among the books about the famous historic “Mother Road”, Route 66, the photographic journey documented by artist Sondra Diepen is a jewel. Diepen did not begin as a photographer but originally studied drawing as a kid. When she attended college, she decided to take art during her 2nd year at the University of California Davis. Her professors were the Bay Area artists Wayne Thibaud and William Wiley. Exposure to their techniques no doubt helped to train her eye for light and composition.
