Summary:

Yesterday’s storms rolled through expected areas with a bite. Much like yesterday we have the chance to see severe storms. Yesterday we even talked about the potential to see an increase in storm confidence/potential from the SPC. Today, we see those thoughts hold true.

Here’s what you need to know, we have all the necessary ingredients. Moisture, lift, a front and instability. The last key ingredient is *DEPENDENT*.

The LIMITING FACTOR, not only today but tomorrow as well will be the ‘CAP’ in place. There is expected to be breaks in the clouds, if we receive enough warming to break said ‘CAP’ then, storms will take off in a hurry. Luckily, models indicate weakening overnight as storms lose daytime energy, however closer to sunset we could see a low (but non-zero) chance for an isolated spin up tornado.

We repeat this pattern heading into tomorrow, with an increased risk further to our north. We will continue to watch the CAP and storm development through Saturday as the cold finally pushes through and stalls to the southeast.

Today: Partly sunny, HUMID and warm. High Temperature: 84° Winds S 5-10 MPH

Tonight: Clouds increase with a chance for isolated to scattered strong to severe thunderstorms. Low Temperature: 68° Winds: SSE 10-15 G 20 MPH
