ABILENE, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – A suspect arrested in connection to a carjacking and gas station robbery in Abilene last week is now charged with robberies in Sweetwater.

Keenan Robertson, who was taken into custody in Abilene Monday, is now charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery for a series of robberies in Nolan County that involved two Sweetwater hotels last month.

Robertson was caught after allegedly committing similar offenses in Abilene.

Joint investigation launched to catch Nolan County aggravated robbery suspect

A police report states Robertson is accused of holding a victim at gunpoint at the apartment complex, stealing his cell phone and vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The vehicle was recovered a short time later, according to the report, which states investigators then contacted Robertson and learned he had also been involved in a convenience store robbery earlier in the week.

No further information has been released, but additional charges against Robertson could be pending in both Nolan and Taylor counties.
