Evansville Restaurant Announces Permanent Closure After 46 Years in Business
I've noticed a really sad trend among local businesses lately. Along with a plea to support local, several owners have come very close to throwing in the towel. In the past month, the Evansville area has lost a number of businesses that were still fairly new. The recent announcement of The Pie Pan's impending closure is a stark reminder of the challenges facing small businesses in today's economy.

Indiana Suburb Just Named One of the 10 Best in America
One Indiana city just received some very high honors. Do you think you know which one it is?. I am proud to be a native of Indiana. I've lived here my whole life and while I wish we were closer to places like the beach, we still have a lot of great things to offer for a "flyover state". Indiana is full of many small towns with a great deal of charm. We also are home to a few big cities that have a lot to offer residents. Recently, one of these Indiana towns was named one of the top suburbs to live in the country. While it's not my hometown, I think it is a pretty big accolade for the state.

Did You Know Kentucky is Home to the World’s Largest Free-Swinging Bell?
Look! There's no question that the Liberty Bell, which is located in downtown Philadelphia, is the most famous bell in the United States. Did My Chemical Romance's Facebook page get hacked?. At first, it appeared as if the band was getting ready to tease a big announcement after their profile picture was updated to a new MCR logo. A followup post linking out to a news article about a country music star, however, seems to indicate that perhaps something more nefarious is afoot.
The Five Most Metal Soundgarden Songs
Soundgarden may not be metal, but here are the five most metal Soundgarden songs. While pretty much all bands have been placed into some sort of subgenre, there are many who teeter the line between different styles. Soundgarden, obviously, have always been labeled "grunge" because of their affiliation with the late '80s and early '90s Seattle music scene, but they've experimented with their sound a lot since the beginning.
