Illinois woman sentenced to 3.5 years for transporting drugs on I-80 in Seward County
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A woman was sentenced Monday after she and three other women were caught transporting drugs on I-80 in Seward County in 2022. A judge sentenced Jennilee Janae Velez, 22, of Addison, Illinois, to 3.5 years in prison for conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and a quantity of oxycodone. Once she is released from prison, she will begin a two-year term of supervised released.
Drugs, weapons seized from Aurora home
AURORA, Neb. (KSNB) - An Aurora man is in custody after the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant Sunday. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office arrested 54-year-old Gordon Spencer after deputies and the Aurora Police Department served a warrant at a home in the 500 block of 14th Street.

Donald Olson to celebrate 90th birthday
Donald Olson of Utica will celebrate his 90th birthday next week. He was born May 8, 1934, in St Edward. His family members include his wife, Ruth Olson (deceased); children, Doug and Dorothy Olson, Columbus, Timothy and Kristy Olson, Alvo, and Jeffrey and Teri Olson, Hastings; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Girls on the Run finish program, 5K
