Idaho man injured after crashing car into tree
LAPWAI, Idaho - The Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a car crash that left a man injured after he crashed his car into a tree. On April 26, around 11:10 a.m., ISP said a maroon SUV, driven by a 63-year-old man from Caldwell, was traveling southbound on the US 95 near milepost 297, three miles south of Lapwai.
Woman dead, man in hospital after crash on US-12 in Lewiston
LEWISTON, Idaho. — A woman is dead and a man was transported to the hospital after a crash on US-12 near Lewiston on Thursday. According to the Idaho State Police (ISP), the 32-year-old woman was driving westbound on US-12 when she drove into a tree. ISP said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, a 40-year-old man, was transported to a nearby hospital, where his condition remains unknown.
700 fentanyl pills found in Clarkston home suspecy arrested
CLARKSTON, Wash. – Detectives from the Quad Cities Drug Task Force arrested a suspect after they found 700 fentanyl pills in his possession. On Thursday afternoon, April 25, detectives from the Quad Cities Drug Task Force, supported by the Lewiston Police Department and the Asotin County Sheriff’s Office issued a search warrant on a home located on the 1400 block of Pound Lane in Clarkston.

Lewiston’s Cole Olsen narrowly edged out first place in the 10K of the 46th annual Seaport River Run on Saturday. Nez Perce County was granted summary judgment in a lawsuit filed by Riverview Marina because the county awarded a bid to another company. Second District Judge Adam Green dismissed the lawsuit with prejudice Wednesday and granted the county’s motion for summary judgment, meaning the case was dismissed before it went to trial.
Lewiston High School continues working toward athletic facility goal
As construction continues on the new athletic facility at Lewiston High School, fundraising is also ongoing to finish the project. Groundbreaking took place in October for the first stage of construction, which is the football, track and field, and soccer stadium as well as a practice football field. Potlatch No. 1 Financial Credit Union provided more than half of the $10 million cost for the stadium and also was given naming rights.
