Eleva Police Chief pleads guilty to OWI
ELEVA, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The Eleva Police Chief has pleaded guilty to an OWI citation he received back in January. After his plea in Trempealeau County Court yesterday (4/23/24), Patrick McKillip has had his driver’s license revoked for 6 months. He must also pay a (fine of over) $900, complete an alcohol assessment and comply with a driver’s safety plan.

CHIPPEWA VALLEY, Wis. (WEAU) - It’s called National Prescription Drug Take-Back day. “Which is an opportunity for community members to safely dispose of any sort of medication that they have in their household that they may no longer need. Maybe they no longer need a medication after surgery, or maybe their medication is expired. Today really is just an opportunity for community members to safely dispose of that, so children, pets or other people don’t have access to the medication,” Public Health Specialist, Sarah Dillivan - Pospisil, said.
Man sentenced in attempted homicide case
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - A Bloomer man was sentenced today for stabbing his neighbor in December 2021 in the Town of Wilson. Court documents show that on April 25, 61-year-old Adam Langiewicz was sentenced to nine years in prison, followed by five years of extended supervision, after being found guilty in February of the attempted homicide of his neighbor.
