SE Minnesota transportation study has been launched
CHATFIELD, Minn. – A transit study covering 11 southeast Minnesota counties is getting underway. The City of Chatfield says it is intended to be comprehensive assessment and financial plan for a transportation management organization (TMO) which will address workforce, mobility, access to services and post-secondary education, and quality of life transportation challenges.

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) re-designated Allina Health Owatonna Hospital as a Level 4 Trauma Hospital. As part of Minnesota’s statewide trauma system, Owatonna Hospital has the resources, skills and training to stabilize a trauma patient – keeping the patient’s condition from worsening and ensuring their vital signs are within a healthy range. Dedication set for Byron Veterans Memorial
BYRON, MN.--The Byron Veterans Memorial is nearing completion. An official ribbon cutting in May is set to celebrate the end of its construction. Less than a month before the dedication ceremony on memorial day, can now view granite plaques honoring the different armed forces, flag poles, memorial statues and a surfaced walkway. The concept of the memorial started 10 years ago as Byron was one of the few Southern Minnesotan cities without one. Five years ago the project got off its feet with the help of a designated committee to help raise funds and raise awareness of its significance. A chairmember of the committee, Bob Pries told KIMT NEWS 3 why seeing the project through was personal to him.
Kenyon resident organizes weekly bike group

Kenyon council considers options for interim city administrator
