FIRST WARN FORECAST: Warmer temperatures tomorrow with FIRST WARN tomorrow night
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The forecast remains quiet today with a few showers south of I70 with temperatures in the 60s. Monday is another First Warn with strong to severe storms possible with all severe weather modes on the tables: tornadoes, large hail, damaging winds, and flooding. We will continue to monitor the patterns over the next 24 hours especially Monday as things become more clear. The timing of this event looks like Monday evening into the overnight and early into Tuesday, while most people are sleeping which is why it is vital to have our weather app. Storms fire up to the west and continue to track towards the east. Arrival time for the far western counties looks between 8 pm-10 pm. For the KC metro 12 am-2 am. There is a chance the strongest storms do decrease in strength as they move closer to the area. All severe weather modes are possible with this line of storms with damaging wind gusts, hail, flooding, and a brief tornado or two. The severe threat doesn’t stop there it continues into Wednesday afternoon/ evening. Another first warn is in the forecast for Wednesday with the threat south and slightly east of the KC metro. Another very active week is about to start so make sure you are keeping tabs on our forecast. Temperatures look slightly cooler by the end of next week.
