What’s the wind blowing in? Storm chances for Sunday in Houston; here’s what we know
HOUSTON – It has been windy, like really windy for the past couple of days. These winds are the result of an atmospheric squeeze play. Houston is caught between an area of high pressure to the east while a strong area of low pressure to the west are working together to create those strong southerly winds which continue to pump moisture into the area.

Some FOX 26 viewers will see some storms late on Sunday and into Monday morning. Those storms could bring heavy downpours along with strong winds and hail. The overall weather pattern is becoming unsettled over the next few days with showers/storms possible each day. It won't be a washout for all of Southeast Texas but certain some folks around Houston could see some rain. If you are not seeing rain, expect cloudy and humid conditions most of the week.

Two Hospitalized After Vehicle Runs Red Light in Violent Houston Intersection Collision
In the early hours of Friday, an intersection in Houston's southeast side was the scene of a severe collision that left two people hospitalized. According to FOX26 Houston, the accident happened around 2:30 a.m. at the crossing of Chartres Street and McGowen Street, where a northbound white vehicle reportedly ran a red light and struck a red vehicle traveling westbound.
