Hwy. 92 bridge repair to require full closure
STATE EXPECTS A THREE-MONTH, $1.2 MILLION REPAIR PROJECT. The traffic situation at Hwy. 92 and I-29 in Platte City will get worse before it gets better. State officials say the Hwy. 92 bridge over Interstate 29 will need to be closed entirely when repairs to the recently-damaged bridge begin, which should be later this month.

Here we go again, hopefully without the frequency of tornadic storms this time. There were 12 tornadoes on Friday and Saturday over the course of 2 days. That is the most we’ve seen since the outbreak back in March of 2017 on the day that we had the Oak Grove EF3 tornado and the Smithville EF2 tornado. Most of the most recent tornadoes though were EF0 tornadoes (under 85 MPH) with only 3 EF1 tornadoes (85-110 MPH).

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - Students on board a school bus were not injured after the vehicle was involved in a crash on Thursday morning. The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department told KCTV5 that a car rear-ended a school bus in the area of 55th Street and Metropolitan Avenue.
