Allegan County Board hires new health officer Jacqueline Billette
ALLEGAN — The Allegan County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to appoint Jacqueline Billette the county's next health officer on Thursday, April 25. Billette’s appointment is subject to final approval from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, per state law. County Administrator Rob Sarro indicated the county expects quick approval and believes Billette could start as early as Monday, April 29.

Holland Pursuit Ends With Man Charged for Domestic Assault, Crashing Car into Residence
A harrowing domestic dispute in Holland, Michigan escalated into a dangerous pursuit and a deliberate crash into a residence, according to local authorities. Dean Isom, 31, allegedly assaulted his 40-year-old girlfriend at a townhouse complex on April 20 before fleeing the scene and igniting a chase that involved several police departments and ended with his vehicle ramming into a Holland home. FOX 17 reports that Isom is now facing charges, including domestic assault and fleeing police.
