Woman seriously injured Tuesday in pickup truck-semi crash in western Kansas
COLBY, Kan. (WIBW) - A woman suffered serious injuries Tuesday morning when the pickup truck she was driving collided with a semitrailer in western Kansas, officials said. The collision was reported at 9:44 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of County Road K and County Road 15 in Thomas County. The location was about 11 miles southwest of Colby.
Horsemanship Events Planned
A Kansas college is offering a couple of camps on horsemanship,. According to Colby Community College, its equestrian team is offering two horsemanship day camps in May at the CCC Agricultural Center three miles east and one mile north of Colby. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., and the camps conclude at 3:30 p.m.
Seward Softball Errors Costly in Losses to Colby
Liberal, Kansas – After seeing their win streak snapped on the road this past weekend, the Seward County Lady Saints softball team brought those struggles back home as they fell in a sweep to the Colby Trojans to start the final week of the regular season with nine errors between the two games against their Jayhawk rival. Colby, coached by CCC athletic director and former Seward SID Kenny Hernandez, won 7-6 and 14-6.
