Central Utah man charged with physically abusing 11-month-old nephew
RICHFIELD — A Sevier County man has been arrested and accused of causing life-threatening injuries to an 11-month-old boy. Dyllan Andy Anderson, 29, of Sigurd, was booked into the Sevier County Jail on Wednesday and charged Thursday in 6th District Court with eight counts of aggravated child abuse, a second-degree felony.

FILLMORE — The manager of the Fillmore Motel was charged Tuesday with rape. Orlando Schmidt, 55, is charged in 4th District Court with rape and object rape, first-degree felonies. Court documents do not indicate how old the alleged victim is, but charges of furnishing alcohol to a minor, a class A misdemeanor, and providing tobacco or an e-cigarette to a minor, a class C misdemeanor, are included.

UHP identifies UTV driver ejected, killed in Richfield crash
RICHFIELD, Utah, April 27, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Police have identified the UTV driver who died after being ejected in a crash with a car Monday afternoon. Jack Becker, 54, of Richfield, was critically injured in the crash and transported to Sevier Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
