Rural mental health care access changing in northern Arkansas
MARSHALL, Ark. (KY3) - Many mental health patients in north Arkansas must drive an hour or more to see a healthcare provider. With clinics and providers across northern Arkansas, Boston Mountain Rural Health embraces technology to help communities and patients connect with resources in their clinics. The healthcare provider recently opened a clinic in Lead Hill. In that clinic, a room with teleconferencing allows patients to speak with a mental health care professional. The goal is to connect those in need without driving long distances. This helps medical teams and healthcare providers work together to provide services to rural areas.
Lucas appointed as Branson alderman
The Branson Board of Aldermen have appointed a new alderman in Ward 2 to finish the term of Cody Fenton, who was forced to resign after moving out of the ward. Thomas “Artie” Lucas was approved by four of the five sitting aldermen on a voice vote without any public comment or public debate on the nomination by the aldermen at the Tuesday, April 23 meeting.

Marion County authorities rule cause of death of woman’s body found near boat launch ramp
MARION COUNTY, Ark. (KY3) - Marion County authorities say a woman’s death at a boat launch ramp was accidental. Residents in the area found the body of Sharon Rose Harris, 80, of Rowlett, Texas, floating in Bull Shoals Lake on April 11. The Arkansas State Crime Lab conducted an autopsy.
