Numerous records shattered at Track and Field State finals
GREAT FALLS, Mt. — Students fired out of their starting stances like a bullet at Saturday's state finals for the chance to be deemed state champion. We'll get things started with the AA girls triple jump. Western Montana is sending a number of athletes away into D1 schools, but none of them had a better day than Sentinel's Ava Kellenberg. The final jump of the UCLA commit's high school career, saw her break a state record jumping for 40 feet, and 8 inches.

CMR softball consolation run ends at state tournament
HELENA – The C.M. Russell High softball team made a good run, but fell just short of the trophy round at the Class AA tournament this weekend. The tournament was originally scheduled to take place in Belgrade but Thursday’s opening games were postponed due to snow and the games were moved to Helena, according to 406 MT Sports.
Cascade man admits hot springs shooting
A Cascade man admitted last week to endangering others while shooting up the Jackson Hot Springs in Fifth Judicial District Court. Jimmie “Luke” Snaric, 35, pleaded guilty to four felony counts of assault with a weapon, felony aggravated burglary, felony criminal mischief, and misdemeanor counts of sexual assault and assault May 14 in district court.
