SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - We have a change in the weather for the weekend. That change is a steady wind, even gusty at times, coming out of the East. That means no sea breeze out of the West in the afternoon. When we get the westerly sea breeze in the afternoon, the wind blowing over the cooler Gulf waters stops our daily temperature climb. The sea breeze kept our highs near 80° last week. This weekend will be hotter with our east wind. We still have no moisture on tap for days.
