David’s Morning Forecast - Scattered storms through early afternoon
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A cool, quiet, and dry start to Sunday morning with temperatures in the mid-50s across the metro. Cloudy skies will remain this morning, though the dry weather will likely give way to scattered thunderstorms by midday. A few storms have already developed early this morning in the Norfolk and Columbus area. Those storms will spread toward the Omaha metro by 10 to 11am. While the storms will still be scattered in nature today, numerous showers and storms are expected meaning that most of the area will likely see at least some rain. The highest rain chances will continue through 4pm, with rain then decreasing heading into the evening hours. Frequent lightning and heavy downpours can be expected with any storms, but significant severe weather is not expected today, a little good news there.
