Softball Game Preview: Orofino Hits the Road
Orofino is 6-0 against Kellogg since March of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Orofino Maniacs will head out on the road to face off against the Kellogg Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Orofino has five straight wins, Kellogg has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Lewiston Woman Dies in Thursday Evening Crash East of Orofino
OROFINO - Idaho State Police are investigating a fatality crash that occurred east of Orofino on US12 at milepost 54 on Thursday evening. According to police, at 7:43 p.m., a blue Nissan Sentra, driven by a 32-year-old female from Lewiston, was traveling westbound on US12 when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
Kids’ Fishing Day Tunnel Pond, Orofino, ID May 3, 2024
OROFINO – Dworshak National Fish Hatchery and the Nez Perce Tribe would like to invite you to spend the day fishing at Tunnel Pond on Friday, May 3rd from 8 am- 1:30 pm. They will be offering a day of fishing, food, and fun for kids 13 and under. All fishing gear, bait, and ice for your catch is provided. There will be arts and crafts, and educational activities offered.

Moose Creek District Ranger Ron Tipton explained that “The Moose Creek Ranger District simply could not meet its resource stewardship mission without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, especially in the wilderness, which requires expertise in both modern and traditional methods to repair and maintain historic facilities such as Moose Creek Ranger Station, which is the hub for our wilderness youth conservation, public recreation, fire management, and outfitter guides programs.”
Rams charge ahead in sweep of Bulldogs
GENESEE —The Clearwater Valley Rams of Kooskia outshined the Genesee Bulldogs on all three levels in a Whitepine League baseball doubleheader on Friday. The Rams downed the Bulldogs 13-1 and 11-0 at Genesee High School. The sweep gave Clearwater Valley (10-11, 7-5) its third straght win. With the victories, the Rams have a winning record after hovering around .500 since April 2.
