FLINT, MI – The search continued Monday afternoon for an 8-year-old girl that officials say has been lost in the Flint River. As of 3 p.m. Monday, April 29, the girl had not been located, Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson said, posting an update on the investigation on the sheriff’s office Facebook page.

Flint Township police identify hit-and-run victim, arrest suspect
FLINT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJRT) - Police arrested a Burton man over the weekend accused of hitting and killing a woman on Ballenger Highway last week. The Flint Township Police Department says 46-year-old Tomala Menix was walking along Ballenger Highway south of Miller Road on April 22, when a 55-year-old man from Burton hit her. She was pronounced dead of her injuries.
