One arrested after high-risk search warrant served near rural Kansas school
WILLIAMSBURG, Kan. (KCTV) - One man is behind bars after he allegedly refused to exit a home for an “extended period of time” near a rural Kansas school. The Franklin County, Kan., Sheriff’s Office says that on Friday morning, April 26, law enforcement officials were sent to the 100 block of E. Warren St. in Williamsburg with a high-risk search warrant in hand. The warrant was issued in connection to a Northeast Kansas Drug Taskforce investigation which remains ongoing.
Wet, muddy conditions postpone Arbor Day tree planting
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Wet conditions did not stop state and city leaders from observing Kansas Arbor Day. Governor Laura Kelly was joined by city staff, members of the Kansas Arborist Association board, and representatives from the Kansas Forest Service to sign a proclamation to declare Friday, April 26 Kansas Arbor Day.
