Teen Arrested in Connection with Fatal Shooting of 14-Year-Old in Worcester
Tragedy struck at Worcester neighborhood when a 14-year-old boy was found shot dead inside an apartment. The Worcester Police Department responded to a distress call regarding a possible shooting on lower Belmont St at approximately 4:15 PM on April 26th, 2024. On arrival, police discovered the victim with a severe gunshot wound, and despite the officers' efforts to render medical aid, the boy could not be saved and was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

Judge rules ‘Turtleboy’ blogger can attend Karen Read murder trial
The Holden man known as “Turtleboy” can attend the Karen Read murder trial, a Dedham District Court judge ruled on Friday, The Boston Globe reported. Aidan Kearney, 42, appeared in Dedham District Court for a pre-trial hearing. Unrelated to the Read trial, he was charged separately with violating a restraining order with his former girlfriend.

The two buildings at Piccadilly Plaza will remain, as the owners say they will pivot from past intentions to demolish them and instead relist the available space for rent. The change of heart comes after the city's Conservation Commission rejected the original plans by American East Coast II, which purchased the plaza in 2020 for $3.2 million, according to owner Dusty Burke. Dusty Burke III, Burke’s son, said that the ownership has now decided to renovate the property and bring in new tenants including a Brazilian steakhouse, Churrascaria Tropeiro’s Grill, and a fitness center called Sculpt Pilates.
