State Fire Marshal investigating fire at Salem apartment
Several departments battled a fire at an apartment in Columbiana County. Green Township, Perry Township, Salem and Damascus Fire Departments responded to the fire just before 6 p.m. Dark clouds of smoke could be seen coming from a unit in an apartment building at 674 East 6th Street in Salem.

Two 20-year-old suspects were arrested after allegedly leading Mahoning County sheriff's deputies and Canfield police officers on a chase on dirt bikes Wednesday night. According to a report from the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office, the chase began just after 9:30 p.m. when deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on two males riding dirt bikes down West Akron Canfield Road near Gault Road.
