Family, friends gather for prayer vigil for 11-year-old girl who was shot in Livingston Parish
LIVINGSTON, La. (BRPROUD) — As Tai’lynn Hines recovers in a Baton Rouge hospital, dozens of her family and friends gathered for prayer in Tickfaw. Last Saturday, the 11-year-old girl was in the bathroom when the family says more than 50 bullets tore through her home. She was shot in the upper torso by a stray bullet. They say three men stood in the front yard and shot at the house.

Deputies searching for man who reportedly committed check fraud, identity theft in Tickfaw
TICKFAW — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is attempting to identify a forgery and identity theft suspect. Deputies say that on March 24, a white man wearing a baseball cap, sleeveless black tank top, black pants and light-colored shoes entered a store at the corner of Highway 1064 and Whiskey Lane and attempted to use a fraudulent check. He also reportedly attempted to use someone else's ID.
